BC Registries and Online Services is the Government of British Columbia's official corporate registry portal at bcregistry.gov.bc.ca. It covers BC-incorporated corporations, societies, cooperatives, benefit companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships, and extra-provincial registrations.
BC OrgBook is a free, machine-readable public dataset published by the Government of British Columbia that contains basic information about BC-registered businesses — legal name, status, and incorporation number. It's a useful free starting point but doesn't include directors, addresses, or a full corporate profile.
Basic name and status searches via BC OrgBook are free. Full corporate summaries and certified documents through BC Registries are paid. Current's flat $30 corporate profile report includes the BC disbursement.
BC Registries runs nightly maintenance windows — typically 10pm to 6am Monday through Saturday and 10pm to 1am on Sunday (Pacific time). Direct searches and filings are unavailable during these windows; Current's search results remain accessible 24/7.
Not publicly. BC corporations are required to maintain a transparency register of significant individuals under the Business Corporations Act, but this register is not searchable through BC Registries or BC OrgBook.
